Property of the Department of Tarn-et-Garonne since 1983, the abbey of Belleperche reveals the charm and the mystery of its vast rooms. Installed in 1143 on the bank of the Garonne, rebuilt on enormous soutain walls in the 13th century, it was one of the three richest Cistercian monasteries in the South. Rebuilt once again in the 18th century, it now offers you its imposing majesty and serves as a setting for the Tableware Museum. Its permanent exhibition "The table is set" plunges you, from the end of the Middle Ages to the present day, in the rich world, surprising table manners. Through a thousand and one objects, you will discover the evolution of utensils from the simplest to the most sophisticated, how we served, how our ancestors ate, and why you use cutlery and a plate today. Also enter the permanent exhibition "Sandstone and tea" and set off for China! Learn about its taste for tea, passed down to Europeans, along with related tea drinking items, from the 16th century to the present day. Finally, vibrate with one of the many artistic and cultural proposals offered in this enchanting setting, for young and old alike.

 Located less than an hour from Toulouse and 45 minutes from Montauban and Agen , on the edge of a body of water formed at the confluence of the Tarn and the Garonne, in Saint Nicolas de la Grave, the base of Tarn and Garonne leisure activities are located on an exceptional natural site of 29 hectares, dedicated to discovery, relaxation and play . Promoting access to leisure and sport for all, the Departmental Council of Tarn-et-Garonne, owner of the base, has made this place a 100% natural tourism destination , with a sporting, fun and educational vocation. In a preserved and green setting, you will have the pleasure of practicing numerous outdoor activities, with family or friends . Equipped with group reception structures, collective accommodation and collective campsite, the leisure center also welcomes schools, leisure centers, sports groups and other associations , for the day or for stays. The 400 hectare body of water, one of the largest in Occitanie, sheltering one of the largest ornithological reserves in France, also offers the opportunity to introduce you to numerous nautical disciplines , such as canoeing, pedal boat, sailing, rowing. For those who prefer to keep their feet on the ground, there is no shortage of options: stroll along the hiking trails , observe birds on the ornithological site , enjoy the quiet fishing spots, before cycling to the banks of the Canal des Deux Mers to cycle in the shade of century-old plane trees on the greenway bike. The leisure center also has a fitted out motorhome area as well as a 2-star campsite labeled ""Accueil Vélo"" and ""Hébergement Pêche"".

Descents in canoe-kayak, free or with instructors, Climbing, Caving, Mountain biking, Rollerblading, Archery, course or Orienteering course… We also visit different sites and discover our heritage in a fun way. Our activities take place between 9.30 a.m. and 12 p.m. in the morning, 1.30 p.m. to 4 p.m. or 4 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. in the afternoon. Our schedules are adaptable according to the attendance and the availability of our instructors. Érigée en même temps que la ville en 1144, elle en constitue encore un centre névralgique en dépit de la perte de son marché matinal. Ses doubles rangées d'arcades abritaient les corporations de marchands comme en atteste toujours le maître étalon des drapiers. Désormais elles ont cédé la place aux restaurants et cafés, et en été, à leurs terrasses.

Cet ancien palais épiscopal construit au XVIIème siècle abrite non seulement une riche collection du peintre Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres mais aussi de l'autre enfant du pays, le sculpteur Antoine Bourdelle. Pour autant, ne négligez pas les collections archéologiques gallo-romaines dans la superbe salle du Prince Noir.
